Now you can set up your insulin basal rates in One Drop! Just go to Settings (top left) > Health Settings > Auto Basal Rate. Enter your basal info and basal insulin will flow seamlessly into your timeline 24/7. Want to log a temp basal? No problem! You can enter temp basal rates at any time right from the One Drop home screen by tapping "Set Temp Basal" in the blue bar above the Me stream.  For step-by-step instructions, check out the videos below.

Note: You MUST have push notifications enabled to receive reminders, so make sure to turn them on for One Drop!

What are insulin pump basal rates?

You may not need this feature even if you are using the One Drop app to manage your diabetes. Basal rates are for those who are currently on insulin and wearing an insulin pump. If you're not on insulin, or you're on multiple daily injections (MDIs), you're already set. But for our pumpers, this is a major upgrade! Basal rates (or profiles) are the different times at which the insulin pump doses out small bits of short-acting insulin over a 24-hour period. That day-to-day profile can be changed, tweaked, or edited at any time, and other temporary profiles (temp basal rates) can be added as needed. With this new addition in the One Drop app, you'll be able to keep track of all your pump basal history!
