What Is Low Blood Sugar? 

Low blood sugar, also called "low blood glucose" or "hypoglycemia," happens when your body doesn't have enough sugar to fuel regular bodily functions. If you're low, you may feel sweaty, shaky, and disoriented, among other things.

What Causes Low Blood Sugar? 

Low blood sugar is often caused by physical activity and/or taking too much insulin, as well as certain other blood glucose lowering medications. Lows can be inconvenient and downright scary, so it's important to always be prepared and catch lows before they get serious.
