We are thrilled to announce the launch of our latest One Drop | Experts program, Managing Gestational Diabetes! Now, you'll be able to work one-on-one with your personal One Drop | Expert to ensure a healthy, happy pregnancy for both you and your baby.

Why gestational diabetes?

Pregnancy is a beautiful and exciting time! But it doesn't come without challenges. Balancing everyday life, pregnancy, and blood sugars can be overwhelming and exhausting. Not to mention, a gestational diabetes (GD) diagnosis during pregnancy causes a slew of entirely different uncertainties. Which is exactly why our newest One Drop | Experts program is specifically designed for expectant mothers with gestational diabetes. We are here to empower, educate, and support all moms with gestational diabetes, both during and after pregnancy.

What is gestational diabetes?

Gestational diabetes is diagnosed when high blood sugar levels occur for the very first time during a pregnancy. High levels of circulating pregnancy hormones can contribute to these higher blood glucose readings. About 3-5% of all pregnant women in the US are diagnosed with GD. The average diagnosis of gestational diabetes occurs around 24 weeks, though some women may be diagnosed earlier or later in their pregnancy. If you've been recently diagnosed with gestational diabetes, you likely have a lot of questions right now. And we want you to know that we have a lot of the answers! We are a team of real moms and real people living with diabetes. We've got your back. Having a trusted platform you can access at any time is essential during your pregnancy, and we are here to give you just that. We go with you beyond the doctor's office, and into your everyday life to help guide and support you throughout your pregnancy.

About the program

When you sign up for the One Drop | Experts: Managing Gestational Diabetes program, you'll receive our gorgeous One Drop | Chrome meter kit. Our Chrome kit includes everything you need to check and keep tabs on your blood glucose: a sleek bluetooth blood glucose meter that wirelessly syncs all your readings to your app, test strips, a lancing device with lancets, and a carry case. Additionally, you will have access to your very own Certified Diabetes Educator, guiding you through the challenges (and sharing in the excitement!) of your pregnancy. Our 15-week program provides you with everything you need to know about managing your gestational diabetes. You'll receive lessons and resources to help you better understand what's happening in your body and how to safely manage your gestational diabetes. You will also be able to reach out to your coach at any time. Send them a message, ask them a question, or simply say hello! They're in this with you. You and your personal coach will focus on education, maintenance, and problem-solving methods both during and after your pregnancy. Through lessons, tips, and tricks, you'll learn the best and most efficient ways to best manage your diabetes while pregnant with your baby. And even after birth, your coach will still be there to make sure you're staying on track and getting your blood sugars back to normal.

Let's do this, together

Continuing to follow a healthy diet and lifestyle after the pregnancy is just as important. Because half of all women who are diagnosed with gestational diabetes will end up developing type 2 diabetes later in life, we make it our priority in the Managing Gestational Diabetes program to offer the tools and support you need, during your pregnancy and beyond. You've got this, and we are here for you every step of the way. ❤️
